Why I Built TrackMySitemap

As a frontend developer, I've spent years building fast, elegant websites — only to discover that some of my best pages weren't even showing up in Google.

That was my wake-up call: beautiful UI means nothing if your content isn't indexed. So I dove deep into technical SEO — robots.txt, sitemaps, meta tags, crawl budgets — the stuff no one talks about until rankings drop.

What I found was frustrating: most SEO tools are either too shallow to catch real issues, or too bloated to give clear answers.

So I built TrackMySitemap — a focused, technical SEO firewall that scans your site's sitemap, checks what's blocked or broken, and tells you what's silently killing your visibility.

Is this safe for my website?

Yes. We only make standard GET requests, respect robots.txt, and never modify anything. Just like a search engine would.

How is this different from Google Search Console?

GSC gives delayed and incomplete indexing data. We show what’s wrong immediately — with more detail and context for developers.

What if my sitemap is huge?

We currently scan up to 10,000 URLs per site. For larger sites, just split the scan or upgrade to a plan with higher limits — extended support is on the roadmap.

Does this work with password-protected sites?

No. Like search engines, we need public access to crawl and analyze pages. Authentication isn't supported (yet).

Can I export the results?

Yes. You can export your scan results to CSV or PDF, making it easy to share with your team or clients.
